OWLs Potluck
Open to all adults 55+
Led by volunteer coordinator Brian Narveson
February is always well attended as we are all looking for a chance to break the winter blah’s. The February potluck will be postponed until Wednesday, Feb. 25 at noon, due to the 18th being Ash Wednesday and several members like to attend the 12:15pm service on that day. If you’re ready to experience a great travel adventure in the warmth and comfort of the fellowship hall, this is the potluck for you. Brian and Mary Narveson will be showing photos and telling stories about their trip to Europe last year. Come an enjoy a river boat cruise on the romantic Danube river. See the Easter market in Budapest, visit the Lipizzan Stallions in Vienna and enjoy the century old towns along the Danube. The journey will end with a visit to the Keukenhof Gardens in Holland. One of the largest tulip gardens in the world. To enhance the experience bring any good German, Hungarian, Czech or Austrian dishes you know how to cook. If you don’t know any, just bring some great winter comfort food.
The OWLs (Older Wiser Lutherans) are a group at First that welcomes anyone, First Lutheran members or not, who are 55+. For information or to ask questions, contact Brian Narveson at owls@firstlu.org.
A reminder for all meals that First Lutheran is a nut-free campus. Please do not bring food containing nuts or nut butters/oils/extracts of any kind onto the church campus. This is for the safety of all of our members. Thanks!
